Nestled 17 km outside the historic city of Masvingo, Zimbabwe, Gokomere High School stands as a testament to over a century of commitment to education, character development, and spiritual growth. Founded in July 1898, the school initially served as a center for vocational training and Sunday School, evolving over the years into a prominent institution for secondary education.

In 1910, Gokomere High School embarked on its journey into secondary education under the guidance of the Jesuit Fathers. This period marked a transformative era, shaping the school’s ethos and establishing a foundation for academic excellence. In 1940, the brethren missionaries took over, continuing the legacy of providing quality education and instilling core values in the student body.
