Academics
Overview
Gokomere High School aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to all subjects for form 1 and 2 students. This period allows for the assessment of individual strengths and areas for improvement.
Moving into Form 3, students shift their focus to selected subjects, contingent upon their Form 2 end-of-year results. The culmination of this phase occurs at the end of Form 4, where students sit for the ZIMSEC ‘O’ Level examination.
Following successful completion of O Level, students progress to their final two years at Gokomere High School. During this period, they have the opportunity to specialize further in their preferred 3/4 subject areas and commence preparations for the ‘A’ Level ZIMSEC exams.

Each Student at Z.J.C to take 2 practical subjects to take one practical subject from a pool which include: Music, Textile Technology and Design, Food and Nutrition, Building, Agriculture, Technical Graphics, Physical Education ,and Computer Science. There is one computer literacy lesson per class per week for those not doing Computer Science.
